Pakistan and Google signed a major Memorandum of Understanding on August 21 aimed at accelerating digital transformation, expanding AI skills and supporting the country’s technology sector. Under the agreement, Pakistani students are set to receive free access to advanced Google AI tools for one year, while Google will also provide 150,000 career certificates in 2026. The government has set an ambitious target of taking Pakistan’s IT exports and digital economy to $30 billion by 2030.
